About the Role

Here at Tottenham Hale Vets for Pets, we enjoy watching our colleagues grow into their chosen careers and are now looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) or current Student Veterinary Nurse (SVN) to join our team!

Our practice is bright, spacious, air-conditioned, and purpose-built to industry-leading standards. It features state-of-the-art equipment, including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities.

You’ll be working alongside our Clinical Team and Client Care Advisors, carrying out a wide range of tasks. We’re looking for a team player who is always willing to get stuck in, work hard, and be eager to learn.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain the clinic as clean, tidy, and well-organised
  • Feed and monitor in-patients
  • Conduct clinical tests
  • Manage stock levels
  • Handle a variety of small animals
  • Assist with setting up for operations
  • Communicate with clients both over the phone and in person

Good verbal communication skills and basic computer literacy are essential for smooth operations and delivering high-standard pet care.

This is a full-time role (40 hours per week), including one weekend in three.


Requirements

You must:

  • Be the friendly and welcoming face of the practice for clients and their pets
  • Provide accurate guidance by being well-informed about practice services and additional offerings
  • Stay calm, attentive, and client-focused
  • Bring enthusiasm, drive, and a passion for both service and pets to your role
  • Handle varied tasks professionally—whether comforting clients after difficult news, celebrating a new puppy’s first visit, or creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere

Essential criteria include:

  • Previous experience as a Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) or
  • Current study as a Student Veterinary Nurse (SVN)
