Veterinary Client Care Assistant (CCA) / Veterinary Receptionist – Petals Vets, Surrey Quays, London
Salary: £27,000 per annum
Experience required: Previous veterinary reception experience required. Exceptional candidates with no previous veterinary experience may be considered. Previous client care experience essential.
Hours: 40 hour week. There will be no out-of-hours, weekend, or bank holiday shifts. Alternating weekly 8:45-16:45 and 11:00-19:00 shifts.

We’re Petals Vets, a proudly independent small animal practice in Surrey Quays, London, and we’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Client Care Assistant (CCA) / Veterinary Receptionist to join our growing team. In our first year and a half, we’ve had an incredible start - building a loyal and friendly client base who share our passion for personalised, compassionate care. About the Clinic

Your Role
This is an engaging, varied role where you will be involved with all aspects of day-day client care. You’ll be a key part of our friendly team, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience for both patients and clients.
Client care duties include:
- Greeting and assisting clients and pets with excitement, warmth, and professionalism
- Handling calls, booking appointments, and managing the diary
- Providing information on services, procedures, and pet care
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate records
- Collaborating closely with the whole team to ensure seamless service
- Accurately overseeing insurance claims
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout front of house areas
- Stock control

About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Ideally has previous veterinary client care experience (exceptional candidates with other client care experience may be considered)
- Brings energy, warmth, and positivity to the team
- Is compassionate and empathetic towards both pets and owners
- Is organised, reliable, and comfortable juggling multiple tasks
- Enjoys working collaboratively in a supportive environment
- Takes pride in maintaining high standards of care and professionalism
- You should be someone who loves talking to people, makes clients feel welcome and valued, and maintains a consistently upbeat, professional manner, even during busy periods
