Registered Veterinary Nurse
Location: North East Scotland
Salary: £30,000 – £37,500 DOE
Job Type: Permanent
Hours: 4 or 5 Days Per Week
Weekends: 1 in 6 Saturday Mornings (until 1pm)
OOH: None
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a busy, well established independent practice in North East Scotland.
This role offers the opportunity to become part of a supportive and experienced clinical team within a thriving practice that continues to experience exceptionally high demand and maintains a waiting list for new clients.
The successful candidate will enjoy a varied nursing role, working across theatre, inpatient care, nurse consults, diagnostics, and client education while being encouraged to fully utilise their nursing skills.
The position is based within a larger mixed practice environment, although the role itself is focused on small animal nursing.
About the Practice
You will be joining a large and experienced team, including:
- 12 Veterinary Surgeons
- Registered Veterinary Nurses
- Dedicated support and reception teams

The practice operates across two well-equipped sites and has built a loyal and growing client base through its commitment to delivering high standards of patient and client care.

- Digital radiography
- Ultrasonography
- Endoscopy
- In-house laboratory with same-day diagnostics
- Dedicated surgical theatre
- Modern anaesthetic monitoring equipment

- Separate dog and cat wards
- Advanced diagnostic equipment including cytology and imaging
- Excellent inpatient care facilities
The practice also provides a comprehensive emergency service supported by an experienced clinical team.
Working Pattern
- 5-day week (4-day week also available)
- Flexible working options considered
- 1 in 6 Saturday mornings (until 1pm)
- No out-of-hours commitments
- No on-call requirements
About You
- RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse
- Passionate about delivering excellent patient care
- Confident across all aspects of general nursing duties
- Enjoys working as part of a collaborative team
- Strong communication and client care skills
- Organised, proactive, and positive approach
- Keen to continue developing clinical skills and interests
