REGISTERED VETERINARY NURSE

INDEPENDENT PRACTICE

Location: South London
Salary: Competitive, up to approximately £40,000 depending on experience
Hours: Full-time, with part-time options considered
Contract: Permanent
Weekends: No Saturdays
Out of hours: None
Bank holidays: None

THE OPPORTUNITY

A well-established independent small animal practice in South London is looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its friendly and close-knit team. This position offers an excellent work-life balance, with no Saturday, out-of-hours or bank holiday requirements. You’ll work alongside an experienced and supportive team, delivering high-quality care across a varied small animal caseload.

THE ROLE

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing nursing support across a range of small animal cases
  • Monitoring anaesthesia and supporting surgical procedures
  • Assisting with diagnostic imaging
  • Delivering high standards of inpatient and clinical care
  • Maintaining excellent hygiene and clinical standards
  • Communicating with clients about procedures and aftercare
  • Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment

ABOUT YOU

The practice is looking for someone who:

  • Is registered with the RCVS as a Veterinary Nurse
  • Has at least two years’ clinical practice experience
  • Is confident with anaesthesia and diagnostic imaging
  • Has strong organisational and communication skills
  • Works effectively in a busy clinical environment
  • Is compassionate and committed to animal welfare
  • Enjoys working as part of a supportive team
