We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Mintlaw Vets on a part-time permanent basis.
Mintlaw Vets is a single-site, purpose-built practice that prides itself on delivering excellent patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment.
We are:
- RCVS accredited, a VN Training Practice, and ISFM Cat-Friendly accredited
- Advocates of Fear Free techniques to improve patient and client experiences
- Equipped with 2 operating theatres, in-house Idexx lab, ultrasound, dental x-ray, endoscopy, therapeutic laser, ultra-sound and more
- You’ll be joining a close-knit, supportive team. Our clinical colleagues bring varied skills including education certificates, acupuncture, rabbit care expertise, and feline-friendly clinic achievements – making Mintlaw a place where everyone’s strengths are valued.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.
You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Working Pattern
This is a flexible, part-time role with shifts available Monday to Friday and occasional Saturday mornings. Working hours will fall between 8:00am and 6:30pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming and assisting clients in practice
- Answering incoming calls and handling enquiries
- Booking and managing appointments
- Assisting with administration duties
- Dispensing medications
- Promoting our Pet Health Club
- Always providing a high standard of customer care
