If you’re passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, enjoy working collaboratively, and have a genuine passion for animal care, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join Gloucester Barnwood Vets for Pets, with an immediate start available.
This standalone practice is ideally located just five minutes from Gloucester town centre and offers onsite parking. You’ll be working alongside a supportive and experienced team, including one Head Clinical Care Advisor, two Clinical Care Advisors, four full-time vets, a Practice Manager, four RVNs, one VCA, and one Student Nurse.
What your typical day will look like:
- Your focus is to provide an exceptional service to our clients and the best care possible to their pets - providing a link between clients and the clinical team.
- Your ability to build strong relationships with our clients, their pets, and the practice team will be critical to your success.
- Your great client service during a client's visit will ensure that their absolute satisfaction is given, and that the client leaves knowing that they have received exceptional service and look forward to their next visit.
- You will greet each client and offer support, guidance, and expertise, managing payments and future bookings confidently.
- Coordinating the smooth running of the day-to-day routines of the practice will be done using our online booking system, so computer literacy is a must.
- Previous veterinary experience is desirable but not essential.

What we are looking for:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary practice or receptionist experience
- Is calm, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Brings energy, enthusiasm, and has a genuine love for pets
- Can balance compassion with efficiency
- Happy using computer systems and managing books
- Must have a can-do attitude
- Answering the phone, dealing with queries, transferring calls, and taking messages where applicable
- Taking card and cash payments
- Working in accordance with GDPR
- Meeting and greeting clients in a professional manner
- Providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice
