We're opening a brand-new Vets for Pets practice in Cardiff Ty Glas and are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Receptionist to join our team from the very beginning.
As the first face our clients see and the friendly voice on the phone, you'll play a vital role in creating an exceptional experience for both our clients and their pets. About the Role
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll be responsible for making every client feel welcome while helping the practice run smoothly.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming clients and their pets with a warm, professional approach.
- Answering telephone and email enquiries.
- Booking appointments and managing the practice diary.
- Taking payments and handling client accounts.
- Maintaining accurate records using our practice management system.
- Supporting the veterinary and nursing team with administration.
- Keeping the reception area organised, tidy and inviting.

About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Loves providing outstanding customer service.
- Enjoys working with people and animals.
- Is organised and able to multitask in a busy environment.
- Has excellent communication skills.
- Is confident using computers.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Has previous reception or customer service experience (preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided).
