Medivet Redruth is offering an exceptional opportunity for a skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our established clinic in a beautiful, central Cornwall location right near the beach.

By joining our team, you will enjoy a genuine work-life balance in one of the UK's most scenic coastal regions. There is no out of hours cover required and you will be supported by a highly experienced and friendly, Partner led team, which includes long-standing staff members who have proudly been with this practice for over 20 years.

We are seeking a clinician with at least two years of experience who is confident with sole charge responsibilities. Our practice is fully equipped to support advanced interests, and we can easily accommodate a certificate holder or a vet working towards an additional qualification in a variety of disciplines.

Our modern, centrally located Practice boasts excellent equipment to ensure you can practice medicine to the highest standard.

The practice features:

  • Four consultation rooms
  • Two operating theatres
  • A separate imaging suite
  • Full laparoscopy kit
  • A separate dental room complete with its own digital dental X-ray unit

The Role

This is a permanent full-time role, working 40 hours per week, with participation in the Saturday rota (1 in 3 Saturdays, 8:30am–12:30pm). There are no out-of-hours or bank holiday requirements, and you will only be working 4 days per week, thus providing an excellent work-life balance and the opportunity to fully embrace Cornwall’s relaxed and outdoor lifestyle.

About You

You’re a qualified MRCVS with a passion for clinical excellence and client care. You’re a team player who wants to make a real difference in a practice that values and supports you.

What You’ll Be Doing

Typically, in this role, you’ll

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients in consults and surgery to the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance
  • Develop tailored treatment plans with clients
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive team
  • Share your skills and support our Medivet communities’ development
