Fantastic opportunity for a vet
We are looking for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon based in Swindon, Wiltshire (SN2 2LZ).
£52,000-£60,000 starting salary with review at the end of probation
Probation period of 3 months
VDS & RCVS membership fees included
Generous employee discount
Annual pay reviews based on performance

CPD £2,000.00 pa
Accommodation available for the initial 2 months
Thameswood Veterinary Clinics. Established in 1986 to provide the highest standard of care to the public within the constraints of affordability and primary care.

REQUIREMENTS
- Quality of experience important, but expect a suitable candidate to have a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification small animal first-opinion experience.
- A dependable clinician with solid diagnostic and medical work-up skills, confident in managing complex cases.
- An interest in and proficiency in surgery.
JOB ROLE
- Varied caseload consulting
- Must be autonomous in routine surgeries and capable of managing intra-operative complications and critical cases without direct supervision.
- Acting as a reliable, supportive senior clinician on duty and providing clinical leadership across the team when needed.
- Mentoring less experienced colleagues

THE DETAILS
- 4-day week, 8.45 am to 6.30 pm
- 1 in 5 weekend rota for any hospitalised animals, which includes Saturday morning consults
- 5 weeks' holiday plus 4/5ths of bank holidays
- 1 evening a week for any hospitalised animals
Swindon is a large and young working town, with good schools and amenities, and easy access to the Cotswolds and also the cities of Bath, Bristol, London and Oxford. Heathrow and Bristol airports are easily accessible, making it easy to go to European destinations at the weekend. Great sports facilities and one of the best places in the south of England to buy or rent property. Good schools and facilities for young families
