Did you know that our practices are locally loved and locally owned?   Our Practice Owners benefit from 100% clinical and operational autonomy, 100% of future profits, and a salary from day one. As part of her long-term vision for the practice, Lenesa is also keen to hear from candidates who are interested in future Practice Ownership within Vets for Pets.

This role suits someone who is passionate about clinical excellence and client care, and who also aspires to progress into leadership and ownership in the coming years. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of the practice’s succession plan, with the potential to take over the business when the time is right—fully supported by the Vets for Pets Partnership Ownership model.  If you are exploring a pathway toward owning your own practice within a supportive, secure, and well established veterinary network, we would be excited to discuss this with you. About us  Lenesa Govender, the lead vet and Practice Owner of Epsom Vets4Pets, opened the practice in 2016, bringing with her 18 years of experience as a vet, mainly in senior roles. Lenesa has a passion for learning and keeping her knowledge up to date and thoroughly encouraging and supporting the same in her hugely talented and caring team.“I am very proud of the team I have, a caring, thoughtful and compassionate bunch where everyone enjoys coming to work every day. Our pet owners trust us with their pet, and I take that very seriously. This has built trust and respect from all our bonded clients.” The team You will be joining a fun, hardworking, dedicated team of 3 Vets, 3 RVNs, Practice Manager, 2 SVN, 2 VCA and 2 receptionists all trying to make a difference to our clients by offering exceptional patient and client care with community at our core. We also have peripatetic orthopaedic and cardiac vets who visit which enables us to do more in depth surgery and work up cases within our practice, as well as also being an approved nurse training centre. The practice The practice itself is designed for more rewarding work. It’s equipped to a very high standard offers a range of state-of-the-art equipment including digital X-ray, ultrasound with Doppler, a growing orthopaedic kit and separate dog and cat wards, 3 consult rooms, theatre and a dedicated office/tea room. There’s also plenty of onsite parking and is ideally situated close to the town centre and within a 7minute walk of Epsom train station. In joining our team and supporting a great community and client base, we are looking for an experienced vet with a broad range of GP skills. We are lucky to have a varied caseload including cats, dogs, rabbits and small furries, so you’ll be confident in all aspects of everyday small animal medicine and surgery. The practice offers 15-minute consults as standard but 30-minute consults for puppy vaccinations and new clients. As well as strong clinical skills, we’re also looking for someone skilled in building strong relationships with patients and clients, as well as someone who thrives working as part of a great team. I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
