About the Role
Looking for a role where you can shape the direction of a practice? Medivet Langley offers a fantastic opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a refurbished clinic with real scope to influence caseload and clinical focus.
This is a Full-time position with flexibility. The rota includes weekends at Watford 24 Hour, a light on-call commitment (approx. 1 week per year), and 1–2 bank holidays annually (pro-rated for part-time), giving you a balance of clinical exposure and lifestyle.
You’ll be part of a supportive, close-knit team, including a Part-time Vet, an experienced Head Veterinary Nurse, VCA, and dedicated support staff. It’s an environment where you’ll have clinical autonomy while still feeling backed by a collaborative team.
The practice is a real standout, refurbished with a bright layout, including two large consult rooms, a theatre, prep area, ultrasound, x-ray, and separate dog and cat kennels. With a loyal client base and clear room for growth, there’s genuine opportunity to develop your interests, and we’re open to investing in equipment to support your clinical passions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
