Poultry Veterinary Surgeon - New Graduates Welcome!
Are you a dedicated veterinary surgeon with a passion for poultry? An independent practice is seeking a talented individual to join their esteemed poultry team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to contribute to a practice known for its high standards and exceptional service.
Imagine working in a new, spacious, purpose-built facility equipped with a state-of-the-art poultry post-mortem room and laboratory. The practice boasts a large farm dispensary and warehousing, ensuring you have all the resources needed to excel. With a high calibre field support team and dedicated admin staff, you'll be part of a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct 1 to 2 farm visits daily to assess sick birds, perform brood reviews and provide training or general support.
- Carry out post-mortems, take samples, and handle phone enquiries.
- Advise on disease prevention strategies, health planning, and management.
- Cover audit requirements to maintain high standards of clinical service.

Skills and Experience:
- RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
- Experience in poultry veterinary care is desirable but not essential; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
This role offers favourable terms and long-term prospects for the right candidate. Enjoy a competitive salary ranging from £35k for new graduates up to £60k for experienced vets. Benefit from a car for both business and personal use, a mobile phone, and a CPD allowance tailored to individual and practice needs. The position also includes 20 days of holiday plus bank holidays, increasing by one day per year up to 25 days.
