This is a great opportunity to join our well-established practice in Binley. Led by Branch Partner Gabi, you will become part of a friendly and supportive team consisting of a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse (HRVN), Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN), Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA), and Receptionist. As there will be occasions when you are required to work sole charge, confidence in clinical decision-making and the ability to hit the ground running would be advantageous. This full-time position offers 40 hours per week worked across four days. The role also includes participation in the bank holiday and on-call rota, based at our Leamington 24-Hour Hospital, as well as a 1 in 6 weekend rota at Leamington. As a Medivet Veterinary Surgeon, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care within the practice. I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
