Kettering Vets for Pets moved to a fantastic new state of the art practice in November 2024 and we haven’t looked back. We are now looking to expand our team! We are looking to recruit an experienced Vet to join our team during this exciting time of growth.

Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is dedicated to maintaining high standards of patient and client care? We are a super friendly award-winning, in a family feel practice with practice owners, Chris and Sarah, onsite to look after team, patients and clients.

We believe veterinary work should be expansive, rewarding and fulfilling – not limited or restrictive. That’s why we’ve created a practice where our clinical team has the facilities, support and freedom to do their very best work. We have top-flight facilities, including separate wards and waiting areas for cats, dogs and small mammals/exotics, dedicated isolation facilities, a bespoke dental suite with digital X-ray, a separate imaging suite, two theatres and a spacious prep and treatment area. Our practice was designed by Sarah and Chris to provide the very best facilities for our patients, clients and team. Our seven consultation room practice, include the larger Gracie Suite with its own private access, gives our team the space and flexibility to work in a way that suits their patients and clients’ needs.

We’re proud to hold ICC Gold Standard Feline Award and RWAF Silver + Rabbit accreditation, and our team includes both Vet and Nurse Certificate holders, alongside a wonderful group of long-service colleagues who bring experience, continuity and a real sense of community. Most importantly, our onsite practice owners are actively involved and genuinely invested in supporting our team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
