Our team at Stechford Vets4Pets now have an exciting opportunity for a veterinary surgeon to join us!

You’ll be joining a supportive team led by Iulian Staicu MRCVS, who graduated in Romania and opened his practice in Stechford in 2017. The team has gone from strength to strength in that time and now consists of 1 other experienced vet, 4 RVNs, an SVN and our dedicated Practice Administrator and CCAs. Together we offer a collaborative work environment that will ensure the best levels of support and care.

We’re looking for a vet with great communication skills with clients and colleagues alike. You’ll have good general surgical and medical skills and be confident in all routine surgeries as well as being comfortable with sole charge at times.

This role is ideally a full-time role including 1 in 3 Saturdays, however we know this is not for everyone so if you are looking for part time hours please get in touch!

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
