Night Veterinary Surgeon | Small Animal Hospital | Staffordshire | £60,000–£85,000 | 4-Day Week | FT & PT

MedMatch Vets is recruiting an experienced Night Veterinary Surgeon for a purpose-built, 24/7 small animal hospital near Newcastle-under-Lyme. It's a teaching-focused hospital with an in-house referral team, modern theatres, and advanced imaging. You'll have real clinical independence, with specialists on hand when you need them.
What's on offer
- £60,000–£85,000 depending on experience
- Four-day working week, with full-time and part-time roles available
- Time off in lieu for weekend work
- Varied caseload, from routine cases to referral-level orthopaedic and soft tissue work, with in-house referral support

The role
- Consults, OOH diagnostic work-ups, and surgery on a busy night caseload
- The hospital provides OOH cover for other local practices, so expect a high caseload and plenty of variety

About you
- An experienced small animal vet, ideally from a hospital or busy first-opinion practice
- Confident in surgery and in making independent clinical decisions from day one
- Emergency care experience desirable; a certificate is an advantage but not essential
- Please note this role isn't suitable for new graduates
