Due to growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to come and join our friendly and vibrant team at Southend Airport Vets for Pets.  About usOur well-equipped, RCVS-accredited surgery is based inside Pets at Home at the Airport Business Park on Rochford Road. You will be joining our Joint Venture Partner and Veterinary Surgeon, Carlo De Vito, who graduated in Italy in 1998. Supporting Carlo are his friendly and experienced team of 1 Veterinary Surgeon, 1 Head Registered Vet Nurse, 2 Registered Vet Nurses, 4 Client Care Advisors and 1 Practice Manager. At Southend Airport we have a brand-new ultrasound machine, including 4 probes, endoscope and inhouse laboratory with an x-ray machine and dental equipment. Living and working near Southend Airport offers a unique blend of convenience and coastal charm. With excellent transport links, including a direct train to London in under an hour, commuting is a breeze. The surrounding area boasts a mix of seaside attractions, parks, and a vibrant town centre, making it an appealing place to settle. RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon You will have excellent surgical skills. Dentistry experience would be advantageous Confident and comfortable with lone work and working your own case load A passion for small animal care and a commitment to providing the best possible care to patients Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients You will have a desire to continuously develop skills and knowledge Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to support colleagues

The role is ideally a full-time position for 40 hours per week (9am – 7:30pm) including Saturdays and no OOH.  We can offer you

An attractive salary from £60,000 to £80,000 (Dependant on experience/full time equivalent) A generous CPD allowance (Plus funding towards certificates) 5.6 weeks initial holiday, rising to 6.6 weeks after 2 years’ service!
