We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team in the beautiful seaside town of Leigh-on-Sea on a fixed term contract up to 12 months. This is a fantastic opportunity for a vet who is keen to develop their skills within a busy, well-equipped practice, supported by a highly experienced and welcoming team.
The role includes:
- Full-time position with a 4-day working week
- Fixed days off to support a great work-life balance
- 1 in 3 Saturdays
- Participation in a shared OOH and Bank Holiday rota at our 24-hour Southend hospital, with a minimal and well-supported OOH commitment
- A varied and busy caseload to help build your clinical experience.
Our team you'll be working alongside:
- 2 experienced Veterinary Surgeons who are keen to support and mentor
- 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs)
- 5 Client Care Assistants (CCAs)
About the practice:
Our clinic is well-equipped and offers a great caseload, giving you exposure to a wide variety of cases and the opportunity to grow in confidence and capability.

Requirements:
To have 12 months experience in the UK.

What you’ll be doing
Typically, in this role, you’ll:
- Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients in consults and surgery to the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance
- Develop tailored treatment plans with clients
- Work collaboratively within a supportive team
- Share your skills and support our Medivet communities’ development
