Fixed-Term Contract | 3 Months with Potential to Extend | 40 Hours | 4-Day Week
Are you a Veterinary Surgeon looking for a new opportunity within a supportive, close-knit team? Our Heaton Chapel practice is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join us on an initial 3-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to extend.
🐾 About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a small, friendly team where you’ll have the opportunity to build strong relationships with both your colleagues and clients.
- Enjoy a varied caseload, with a good balance of consultations and surgical work, allowing you to make the most of your clinical skills while continuing to develop your experience.
- The role is 40 hours per week across 4 days, 9am - 19:00, with a 1 in 6 weekend rota, giving you a great balance between work and your life outside the practice.
🏥 About Heaton Chapel
Our recently refurbished clinic provides a modern and welcoming environment for both our clients and team. You’ll be joining a small and supportive team made up of:
- Branch Partner Veterinary Surgeon
- 3 Registered Veterinary Nurses
- 1 Veterinary Care Assistant
- 1 Client Care Assistant

About you
You’re a qualified MRCVS with a passion for clinical excellence and client care. You’re a team player who wants to make a real difference in a practice that values and supports you.
What you’ll be doing
Typically, in this role, you’ll:
- Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients in consults and surgery to the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance
- Develop tailored treatment plans with clients
- Work collaboratively within a supportive team
- Share your skills and support our Medivet communities’ development
