Veterinary Surgeon – Customer Service and Sustainability Awarded Practice! Flexible Rota
The Practice
We are an RCVS accredited small animal practice, cat-friendly silver and rabbit-friendly clinic. Locally owned by Jo and Kevin Morrall since 2013, the practice offers clinical autonomy and supports a diverse range of cases, including cats, dogs, rabbits, and exotics.
The practice features:
- 15-minute standard consults
- State-of-the-art equipment such as endoscopic surgical tools, digital X-ray, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory facilities
- Air-conditioned and purpose-built premises to industry standards
- Free on-site parking
Our Team
Joined by Head Vet Jo and Practice Administrator Kevin, our close-knit team includes:
- 4 surgical vets
- 7 experienced nurses (over 100 years combined experience)
- 1 Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA), a practice manager, and a dedicated client care team
- Conveners of varied interests, from general wellness to exotic medicine
We also collaborate with:
- Visiting ophthalmologists
- Peripatetic surgeons (specialising in orthopaedics and advanced soft tissue procedures)
- Visiting ultrasonographers
- Recently introduced: laparoscopic spays (embracing advanced surgical techniques).

The Role
We seek an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is confident handling routine medical and surgical cases and enjoys fostering strong relationships with patients, clients, and staff. Additional benefits include:
- Support towards Certificate studies and Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
- Special preference (but not essential) for candidates with passion in surgery or imaging
Hours & Operating Schedule
- Flexible full- or part-time options—ideally 3–4 days per week
- Core hours: 9:00 AM – 7 PM (weekdays)
- On-site Saturdays: 1 in every 4 (9 AM – 5 PM)
- Availability open to discussions.
