Join Our Friendly and Supportive Practice Team
We're looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our welcoming and collaborative team at Bitterne Vets for Pets. This is an excellent opportunity for a vet who enjoys working in a supportive environment where colleagues genuinely help one another and patient care is always the priority.
About Us
Our practice is home to a dedicated and experienced team, currently comprising:
- 5 full-time vets
- 3 full-time RVNs
- 3 part-time RVNs
- 1 Student Veterinary Nurse
- 2 full-time Receptionists
- 2 part-time Receptionists
We also work closely with visiting specialists, including RATA, when required, ensuring additional support for more complex cases.
We pride ourselves on our friendly culture and strong teamwork. Our vets regularly collaborate on cases, sharing knowledge and supporting one another to provide the highest standard of care.

The Role
This position offers a varied caseload with plenty of opportunities to develop your clinical skills while working alongside a supportive team.
Working Pattern
- 41.5-hour contract
- Fixed 5-day working week
- 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (9am to 12pm)
Your Day
- 20-minute consultations
- Dedicated admin time throughout the day for client communications and case management
- 30-minute lunch break
- A well-structured schedule designed to support high-quality patient care
