About us

Opened 14 years ago, Reading Vets for Pets is locally owned and run by Hassan Salamian MRCVS and Irina Vranceanu MRCVS. Our experienced practice owners are on site every day and are supported by a team including another experienced vet, 2 RVNs, 3 SVNs, 2 VCAs and 4 Receptionists with the whole team keen to help each other and get involved, holding regular practice meetings and clinical meetings too.

Our wellbeing is as important to us as our patients care and we therefore also have two colleagues who are trained Mental Health First Aiders.

The practice

Our great location means we benefit from a good variety of cases and a superb loyal client base. We typically deal with 1st opinion cases including Orthopaedic and Laparoscopic surgeries. The well-equipped surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards and includes Ultrasound, Digital X-Rays, Diathermy, Cautery, Acupuncture, Multi-parameter machine, In house Biochem and Haematology machines.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
