Company Description
Ollie & Florrie Vet is a small, independent companion animal practice in Petts Wood looking for a veterinary surgeon to join our team. We're growing steadily, and we'd like another vet who's passionate about clinical excellence, genuine teamwork, and actually having time for a life outside work. Our team is friendly and genuinely collaborative. We practice thoughtful, evidence-based veterinary medicine and believe in building genuine relationships with our clients and their pets.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Veterinary Surgeon role (minimum 3 years' experience) based in Orpington, London. You'll be at the heart of what we do – carrying out clinical examinations, managing consultations, performing surgical and medical procedures, and working closely with our brilliant veterinary nurses.
We are looking for someone who takes time to listen to clients, explains their pet's care clearly, and isn't afraid to ask questions or suggest evidence-based approaches. You'll be involved in everything from routine consultations to emergency cases, diagnostic interpretation, and supporting junior team members as they develop.

- 4 days per week: flexible Monday to Friday (8:30am–6:30pm)
- 1 in 4 Saturdays (9am–1pm)
- Salary up to £70k depending on experience
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and an extra day off for your birthday

Qualifications
- MRCVS eligible or fully registered with the RCVS
- Strong clinical skills in small animal medicine, surgery, and anesthesia
- Excellent communication skills—we believe clear, empathetic conversations with owners matter
- A collaborative approach and genuine respect for your team
- Sound clinical judgment and a commitment to continuous learning
- Confidence with dentistry or willingness to advance your skills
- Experience in small animal general practice is ideal (though the right candidate is what matters most)

Location and site info
A small, independent purpose-built veterinary practice in Petts Wood, Orpington – just a stone's throw from the station. Petts Wood offers the best of both worlds: a leafy South East London location with excellent transport links into central London and easy access to Kent.
