As a growing practice that has just recently had an expansion and renovation we are now looking for a new vet to join us and help us grow!
You will be joining the practice at a very exciting time as we keep going from strength to strength! As we are not replacing anyone we are flexible on hours so if you are looking for full or part time or even flexi working speak to us and we can see what we can do! This will include 1 in 4 Saturdays We are a busy RVN led practice that have a well-established and supportive team Our practice offers a range of services including ultrasound, digital Xray, dental Xray, nurse clinics, acupuncture and K-Laser, allowing you to be involved in a range of services to widen your experience No OOH or Sundays Some sole charge will be included RCVS Accreditation, Dog Friendly Practice Accreditation, working towards ISFM Cat Friendly Accreditation This would be a fantastic role for an experienced vet who is looking to expand their knowledge We offer a fantastic salary up to £65,000 (FTE, DOE)

About us:
We are an RCVS accredited, busy first opinion practice which opened in 2008. Since then, our RVN JVP Emma has led and developed our team which now consists of 6 vets, 9 RVNs, 1 VCA and 6 receptionists. Within our vet team we have interests in ultrasonography, internal medicine, and acupuncture and are always looking to add more.

A focus on becoming an integral part of the local community has led us to build an excellent reputation and as such have a fantastic client base, many of whom are insured, bringing in lots of interesting cases. We practice fear-free handling and in addition to our ‘in-team’ interests have strong links to our local referral hospitals which ensures we are working up cases to the highest standard possible. We also have exciting plans to expand our already well-equipped practice.
As well as great veterinary care, we place emphasis on inclusivity, our team’s well-being, and ensuring everyone enjoys the work-life balance they need. Admin time is included in the diary each day, your team are always there to support you, and we love to socialise outside of work. As a team we have close links to the community, sponsoring one of our local football teams and taking part in local events including an annual dog festival.
Close links with other local Vets4Pets practices and Pets At Home stores provides an additional network of support.
Our practice is based on a retail park with access to an array of shops, restaurants and other local amenities. As well as close proximity to Newcastle and the excellent transport links that provides, you will also find yourself surrounded by the beautiful Northumberland countryside and coastline.
The Role:
As we are not replacing anyone we are open on what hours are available, due to this we can talk to you about full or part time! It will include 1 in 4 Saturdays, but other than that we can be flexible so please have a chat with us. No OOHs and no on call is required.

We are looking for a vet who ideally has experience in general practice including consults and surgeries but most importantly are looking for the right person for our team who will embrace our ethos of supporting each other and providing great care to our community.
