A rare opportunity has become available to join a well-established practice with excellent support!
We are looking for an experienced vet to join our well-established vet practice in Craigleith, Edinburgh.
This role is ideally for full time and will include 1 in 3 weekends. However, as we are a flexible working employer we are happy to consider part time as well.
You will need to be an experienced vet who is confident in all aspects of general practice.
Weekdays will be supported by 2 RVNs and 2 receptionists with at least 1 other Vet.
This role will include sole charge weekends where you will be supported by 1 Nurse and Receptionist.
We are an IFSM accredited Silver cat friendly practice
- Paid 1 hour lunch break honoured.

About Us:
Located in the heart of Edinburgh, Craigleith Vets for Pets is a well-established and welcoming practice with a loyal client base. Our modern, fully equipped surgery is based within a Pets at Home store, providing easy access to excellent facilities and a collaborative working environment. You’ll be joining a passionate and skilled team made up of two full-time vets, two part-time vets, three RVNs, a dedicated Practice Manager, and three client care advisors.

About the role:
This position is for a full-time experienced vet in Craigleith vets for pets. It will include working 1 in 3 weekends, Saturdays are 9am till 5pm and Sundays are 10am to 5pm. However full and part time hours can be considered. Time back during the week is given for weekends. We aim to operate a fixed rota to support work-life balance.
Weekends will be sole charge and will mainly see sick / emergency cases with a limited number of vaccinations. There will be no scheduled surgeries on these days giving you the ability to treat any emergencies that come in.
