Meet the new owners making South Shields Quays a great place to work – paying up to £75,000 (FTE, DOE)

The practice has recently been taken over by the new owners Rob and Laurie, they have exciting new ideas to push the practice forward making it not only a great place to work but ensuring our local community and their pets are at the heart of what they do

This role can consider full or part time hours – so we can be flexible to ensure you have the work life balance you are looking for

Your well being truly matters to us so we will ensure that your diary is managed in such a way that you will not feel overwhelmed

The practice is supportive and has a wealth of clinical knowledge and support from its sister practice in Bedlington

Saturdays are worked on a 1 in 3 basis and are only 9am to 12pm

There are no Sundays or OOH

The practice is in the process of buying Lap Spay equipment

The role can be flexible to support someone with a bias or special interest – this includes supporting certificates and the practice has such potential to keep growing and you can be vital in helping with that

An exciting opportunity has arisen at our small animal practice in South Shields Quays Vets for Pets for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and welcoming team.

About us:

The surgery is purpose built and fully equipped allowing excellent clinical care to be achieved. The practice will be made up of 2 Vets, 4 nurses, 1 Veterinary Care Assistant, 1 Practice Manager & 4 Client Care Advisors. However, the practice’s sister practice has a strong, stable clinical team that offer support and will work between the 2 practices.

The practice is located inside Pets at Home in the centre of town within walking distance to the beautiful coast. With main transport links nearby and convenient access to the A19 and A1 this is a fantastic location for commuters.

Our surgery is purpose built to deliver the highest clinical standards and provides excellent facilities including internal laboratory stations, ultrasound, and radiograph diagnostic imaging. Giving you access to all the equipment and space you need to care for your patients.

The practice already has a loyal client base with the potential for further growth, and cases can be worked up locally giving you the opportunity to develop any specific interests you have, with certification encouraged and fully funded. We’re also keen to learn new things from you, so if you have previously done CPD, we want to hear all about it! We’re always open to trialling new ideas and work closely together with the aim of providing the best care for our patients and a great client experience from phone call to consult.

About the role:

We are able to accommodate either full time or part time hours with 1 in 3 Saturdays, no OOH or Sunday shifts.
