Want to work in a state of the art 24/7 small animal hospital?
We are looking for a forward thinking, driven and conscientious vet to join our experienced and friendly 13 vet team. We ideally want a vet who is 2 + years qualified, but would invite applicants from confident 1 year qualified vets too.
Our hospital has three theatres, a large prep room, a quiet room, four wards with CASCO heated kennels, 10 consulting rooms, bedrooms for OOH colleagues, and an amazing colleague room and kitchen to enjoy your breaks. We have a dedicated pharmacy team, so you won’t have to dispense your own medications from consults, and they will help process all medication requests. We run on 20 minute appointments, with plenty of diary capacity and space. We do video consults and there is the opportunity to be involved in driving this side of the business if interested. We use AI for our consult notes, and are keen to use technology to help you with your day to day admin tasks.
We are proud of our internal out of hours service. We can keep our interesting and exciting cases in house, and don’t need to refer out. We don't do OOH as "on-call" – you work your OOH shift as your paid hours for the week. We already have a team of night vets in place, so working OOH is not necessary for this role. However, if you want to explore OOH / ECC work we can accommodate this in your rota.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
