A chance to build something meaningful.
Great veterinary care is about more than diagnoses and treatments. It is about the trust you build with clients, the reassurance you provide during difficult moments and the relationships you develop with pets and their families throughout their lives.
At Palmerston Veterinary Group, we are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys the personal side of veterinary medicine and wants to make a genuine difference within a local community.
This role is primarily based at our Romford practice, with regular time spent at our Walthamstow practice, giving you the opportunity to work across two established local communities while being part of one supportive team.
You will be joining a practice group where relationships matter. Supported by Lead Vet Neil, resident vet Miha and the wider Palmerston team, you will have the opportunity to build your confidence, develop your clinical skills and become a trusted vet for the clients and patients you care for.
This is a role for someone who enjoys first-opinion medicine, values teamwork and wants to be part of a practice where their contribution is genuinely noticed.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
