Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

As a teaching-focused hospital, you'll also play a role in supporting and inspiring the next generation of veterinary professionals.

Every day brings something different, with a diverse caseload that allows you to fully utilize and develop your clinical skills.

The Role:

  • Applicants must be confident in surgery
  • Certificate holders are at an advantage but not essential
  • Must be confident to conduct consultations and perform OOH diagnostic work-ups
  • Case load varies from routine cases to referral cases (in-house referral team to support with orthopaedic and soft tissue cases)
  • Emergency care experience is desirable
  • We provide an OOH service for other local practices, so the applicant must be prepared for a large case load

About You:

We're looking for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon who is confident making clinical decisions and enjoys working within a fast-paced hospital environment.

This role is not suitable for a newly qualified Veterinary Surgeon, as you'll need to be comfortable working with a good level of clinical independence from day one.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience in small animal practice within a hospital or busy first-opinion environment.
  • Strong medical and consulting skills.
  • Confidence working on cases independently.
  • Experience performing routine surgery.
  • Excellent communication and client care skills.
  • A collaborative approach and passion for delivering outstanding patient care.
  • A commitment to continued learning and professional development.
