Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal

Bellevue Veterinary Clinic - Frome, Somerset

Salary up to £60,000 DOE FTE, welcome bonus up to £5,000 and relocation allowance up to £5,000

At inspiring vet care, our people are at the heart of everything we do. As the UK’s number one vet care provider, we're trusted with the care of over 2 million animals, delivering our purpose of healthier animals and happier owners.

Bellevue Vets, part of ivc, are looking for a part-time Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our welcoming and supportive team in the charming market town of Frome.

About Us

We’re a Silver ISFM-accredited practice, based in a beautifully converted barn where character meets modern veterinary medicine. It’s a relaxed, friendly environment where both our clients and our team feel at home.

The Role

A Varied Caseload & Time to Do Things Properly

  • You’ll see a lovely mix of cats, dogs, rabbits and small furries, with the occasional exotic or wildlife patient adding a little extra variety to your day.
  • This is a great role for a vet who enjoys a balance of consulting and surgery and values having the time to work cases up properly.
  • We really value continuity of care and building lasting relationships with our clients, so you’ll have the opportunity to get to know your patients and follow their journeys with us.
  • You’ll also have an experienced team around you, so there’s always someone to bounce ideas off or lend a hand when needed.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
