Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal
Mainstone Veterinary Clinic - Romsey, Hampshire
Salary: up to £70,000 DOE, welcome bonus up to £5,000 and relocation allowance up to £5,000

Mainstone Veterinary Practice, part of ivc, has been caring for pets in Romsey for many years, building a trusted reputation within the local community and creating a supportive team culture. We're looking for a confident Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly practice, where you'll enjoy clinical freedom, a varied caseload and the opportunity to make a real difference to both patients and clients every day.
A Varied First-Opinion Role
If you enjoy the diversity of first-opinion practice, you'll feel right at home at Mainstone. Your week will include an excellent balance of consultations and surgery, with the opportunity to manage cases from routine appointments through to orthopaedic procedures and occasional emergency presentations. There is an element of sole charge, making this an ideal role for a vet who enjoys working independently while knowing support is always available from an experienced and collaborative team.

A Team That Supports Your Growth
You'll be joining a welcoming team of experienced Veterinary Surgeons and RVNs who enjoy sharing knowledge and supporting one another. With certificate holders in Ophthalmology and Emergency & Critical Care already within the practice, you'll benefit from a collaborative environment where CPD and certificate study are actively encouraged, helping you develop your own clinical interests and progress your career.
Flexibility That Works for You
This full-time role is 40 hours per week, worked between 8:30am and 7:00pm, with just 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (8:30am–12:30pm). There are no out-of-hours commitments, and part-time applications are welcomed.
