Salary up to £65,000 DOE plus up to £2,000 Welcome Bonus plus up to £5,000 Relocation Allowance

We are based in a great location with excellent links to the M3/M4, (45 minutes’ drive to Heathrow and only 1 hour to the South coast), Basingstoke is also only a 40-minute train to London. In North Hampshire you'll find historic treasures reflecting the local literary and military heritage as well as lively towns, great local food and family attractions. You are also close to the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in North Hampshire, with its varied wildlife and stunning views.

P.S We have plenty of space if you would like to bring your dog to work with you.

We have separate cat and dog kennels, 2 consult rooms and an ops theatre and we are well equipped with Digital X-Ray, Idexx ProCyteOne, Catalyst and brand new Ultrasound machine and dental radiography.

You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

Ideally you will have some experience, looking to take your career to the next level with support from seasoned colleagues. You will be based at our practices in Basingstoke and Tadley, joining two experienced vets and a new graduate Vet, a well-established nursing team, animal care assistants and supportive client care.

We would welcome applicants with a medical or surgical bias and case work up as well as certificate/CPD is actively encouraged and supported. Our caseload mainly consists of SA however you can see some exotics if this is an interest of yours. We want to ensure you feel supported, we can offer you the encouragement, challenge and support to achieve your personal and professional aspirations.

Work/life balance is a priority of ours, therefore flexible working is absolutely considered. For example, we could look to accommodate reduced working days and flexible hours to suit you. Any other preference such as consulting only, particular days off, mornings, evenings – just ask – we can discuss the options.

Typically, the full-time position is 37.5 hours worked over a 4 day week with a Saturday morning rota and no OOH. We would also welcome part time applicants.

You Might Be a Great Fit If...

You are a confident and motivated veterinary surgeon who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to delivering high-quality patient and client care. You’ll bring:

  • A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
  • Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
  • A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development
  • Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • A passion for delivering excellent patient and client care
