Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal

Lockwood Vets, Hednesford

Salary up to £75,000 DOE

Welcome bonus of up to £7,500 (pro rata) & an additional £5,000 (pro rata) paid after successful completion of 1 year's service. Relocation support of up to £5,000 is also available.

Lockwood Vets, Hednesford is currently looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting time to join us following a period of growth across the Lockwood brand.

Our committed and supportive leadership team is looking for an experienced clinician who can help shape the future of the Hednesford practice. If you are confident working in a sole-charge environment and enjoy building strong client relationships, this could be the ideal next step in your career.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.

You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

At Hednesford, you'll benefit from a balanced workload with 15-minute consultations, a varied surgical caseload and the opportunity to work up medical cases and emergencies.

  • 15-minute consultations
  • No more than 18 appointments per day per vet on average
  • Daily surgical procedures including neutering and dentistry
  • Dedicated operating time every day

About Lockwood Hednesford

Our Hednesford team consists of:

  • 1 experienced Veterinary Surgeon
  • 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses

The practice is well equipped and includes:

  • Digital radiography
  • Ultrasound scanner
  • Two consulting rooms
  • Dedicated theatre
