Beckenham Vets for Pets Job Opening
Beckenham Vets for Pets are seeking an experienced small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their growing team.
About the Role
The brand-new surgery is situated inside one of our new concept stores and has been designed to deliver not only the highest clinical standards, but also a pleasant working environment for the whole team. The practice is situated in one of our new look Pets at Home stores, in the heart of Beckenham, with excellent national and international transport links, just half an hour from central London. Beckenham doesn't really feel like part of London, with its leafy suburban streets and village atmosphere.
Our new practice can offer you the environment, caseload and equipment needed to utilise the skills you’ve gained to date whilst also giving you plenty of opportunity to develop further. We are proactive to continually support postgraduate qualifications and CPD for training in your areas of interest.
Team and Culture
We are a team of passionate and ambitious practitioners with a high standard for patient care and customer service. We aim to maintain a blame free, open feedback, collaborative culture. You’ll be supported by 3 RVNs, 4 VCAs and 1 practice administrator.

Requirements
- Experience: 3 years plus experience
- Skills:
- Proficient in consultations (20 minutes)
- Proficient in surgery such as spays and castrations
- Proficient in emergency medicine
- Proficient in soft tissue surgery such as exlap, cystotomies, pyo and c-section
- Qualities:
- Compassionate and enthusiastic team player
- Excellent time management and client communication skills
- Keen to practice stress-free, fear-free techniques
- Provide the highest standard of patient care
Working Hours and Benefits
- Hours: Full or part-time hours for the role, 4 day week (8:45am – 7pm weekday) and the weekend rota is 1 in 3 Saturdays (8:45am – 5:00pm) with the aim to transition to 1 in 4 Saturdays. No OOH required.
- Salary: Competitive salary of £50,000 DOE / FTE
- Benefits: Generous benefits package plus a few added extras
