Are you a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon looking for a practice where you'll be supported, encouraged to develop your interests, and genuinely enjoy coming to work each day?

Our growing practice in Tilehurst offers an exciting opportunity to join a friendly, collaborative team with a varied caseload, modern facilities, loyal clients, and excellent career progression.

Conveniently located within the Pets at Home store at Reading Retail Park, our practice benefits from excellent transport links, free onsite parking, modern facilities, and state-of-the-art equipment, creating an enjoyable and well-equipped working environment.

You'll be joining an enthusiastic and supportive team where collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. We consist of 2.5 Veterinary Surgeons, 1 Head Veterinary Nurse, 1 Registered Veterinary Nurse, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses, 1 Veterinary Care Assistant and 5 Client Care Advisors.

About you and the role

We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with at least two years of UK small animal GP experience and a solid grounding in both medicine and surgery. Our ideal candidate will have the following:

This role offers a varied caseload with the opportunity to work cases up to a high standard and develop lasting relationships with clients and patients.

Hours

We understand the importance of work-life balance and are happy to consider both full and part-time applicants. Shift patterns are likely to include working a Monday, Wednesday and a Thursday with some flexibility. We are looking at opening on a Saturday in the near future, so 1 in 4 weekends will be required at this stage.
