Are you looking for a Veterinary Surgeon role in an established practice that could support your development?

NEWTOWNARDS

Come and join our friendly team!

Are you a vet who enjoys good clinical work, nice colleagues and the occasional bit of craic?

We’re looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our established first-opinion GP practice in Newtownards.

We’re currently a team of 2 full-time vets and 1 part-time vet, supported by 4 RVNs and 3 client care team members, including our team manager.

We’re proud of the care we provide, but we also believe that work should be somewhere you enjoy coming to. We’re a friendly bunch who look out for each other, have a laugh when we can and genuinely care about our patients, clients and colleagues.

So, who are we looking for?

Honestly, we're much more interested in who you are as a person than whether your CV ticks every single box.

You’ll be someone who:

  • Is a confident and capable GP vet who enjoys a varied caseload.
  • Cares about doing a good job and providing great patient care.
  • Is kind, approachable and good with people.
  • Can get on with things independently but is happy to lend a hand when someone else needs it.
  • Is reliable and hardworking, but understands that sometimes life happens.
  • Can have a laugh and doesn't take themselves too seriously.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
