We're looking for a Vetting Advisor to join our fast-paced HR People Services Team. As the face of HR across the business, our team provides high-quality support to employees, managers and stakeholders, ensuring compliance, efficiency and a positive customer experience.
Whether you already have experience in security vetting or have developed strong administrative, compliance or case management skills in another environment, we'd love to hear from you.
This position is based at the Epsom Woodcote Grove office, with a requirement to be on-site 3 days a week.
Your role
- Manage your own caseload of vetting applications, ensuring they are processed accurately, efficiently and in line with compliance requirements.
- Provide advice and guidance to employees, managers and stakeholders throughout the vetting process.
- Investigate and resolve complex cases, using sound judgement and a solutions-focused approach.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with statutory, regulatory and audit requirements.
- Build positive working relationships with colleagues across HR and the wider business.
- Liaise with third-party suppliers, clients and vetting agencies to support seamless service delivery.
- Monitor progress against service levels and take ownership of delivering excellent outcomes for customers.
- Support reporting, analysis and management information for the Vetting Manager and wider leadership team.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest levels of integrity and professionalism.

About you
- Strong administrative, organisational and time management skills.
- A positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy when managing multiple priorities.
- A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks and follow through on commitments.
- Sound judgement and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
- Experience managing cases, queries or administrative processes in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues and contribute to team success.
- A desire to learn, develop and continuously improve.
Desirable Experience
- Experience in personnel security vetting, employee screening, compliance, HR administration or a similar regulated environment.
- Knowledge of UK security vetting processes, including BPSS, NSV and/or ONR requirements.
- Experience analysing information, identifying risks and managing complex cases.

Security clearance
This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
