Finatal is partnered with a global lower to middle-market private equity fund focused on acquiring and transforming businesses across Europe and North America. The firm specialises in lower mid-market buyouts, complex carve-out transactions, special situations and operational value creation opportunities.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly active investment team, taking a leadership role across origination, execution and portfolio value creation while working closely with senior management and portfolio company leadership teams.
The Role:
- Lead the origination, evaluation and execution of lower to mid-market buyout opportunities across Europe.
- Develop and maintain relationships with intermediaries, management teams and corporate counterparties to generate proprietary deal flow.
- Assess investment opportunities, with a particular focus on carve-outs, special situations and complex businesses.
- Lead financial modelling, valuation analysis and due diligence processes.
- Prepare and present investment committee materials and investment recommendations.
- Drive negotiations and transaction execution alongside senior members of the investment team.
- Work closely with portfolio company management teams on strategic and operational value creation initiatives.
- Mentor and support junior investment professionals.

Requirements:
- 6+ years' experience in Private Equity or M&A Investment Banking.
- Based in Paris, or able to commute regularly, with the expectation of being in the Paris office the majority of the week.
- Strong track record of leading transaction workstreams from origination through to execution.
- Excellent financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and originate investment opportunities.
- Strong commercial judgement and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
- Exceptional academic track record.
