About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Vice President – Client Cash Processing to join BNY's Wealth Services Operations function in Manchester.
This is a senior operational leadership role responsible for overseeing client cash processing, payment operations, client servicing and operational reporting within a highly regulated financial services environment.
You will play a key role in leading operational teams, strengthening controls, improving processes and ensuring exceptional service delivery to key clients.
The role will involve close collaboration with senior stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Compliance, Risk and Client Management, while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across the client cash function.
We're looking for an experienced operational leader with a strong background in payments, cash operations, transaction processing, wealth operations, custody, banking operations or financial services operations.
What You'll Be Doing
As Vice President you'll be responsible for:
- Leading Client Cash Processing operations and supporting day-to-day operational delivery
- Managing and developing high-performing operational teams
- Overseeing client cash movements, payment processing and transaction activities
- Ensuring payments and cash transactions are processed accurately, efficiently and within agreed service levels
- Acting as a senior escalation point for client queries, operational issues and payment investigations
- Managing key client relationships and ensuring consistently high levels of client service
- Monitoring operational performance through MI, KPIs, KRIs and service metrics
- Identifying operational risks, control weaknesses and opportunities for improvement
- Driving process optimisation, automation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Working closely with Technology and Change teams on digital transformation initiatives
- Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies and operational controls
- Supporting risk management, governance and audit requirements
- Partnering with Compliance, Financial Crime, Risk and other control functions
- Developing, coaching and mentoring managers and operational teams
- Building strong relationships with senior internal stakeholders and external clients
- Supporting the strategic development of the Client Cash Processing function

What We're Looking For
We're keen to speak with candidates who have:
- Strong leadership experience within Payments, Cash Operations, Transaction Processing or Financial Services Operations
- Experience managing operational teams within a regulated financial services environment
- Strong understanding of payment processing and cash management
- Experience handling client cash movements, payment investigations and operational exceptions
- Proven experience in client service and relationship management
- Strong operational risk, governance and control awareness
- Experience producing and reviewing MI, KPIs, KRIs and performance reporting
- Strong stakeholder management skills across Operations, Technology, Compliance and Risk
- Demonstrable experience delivering process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Excellent communication, leadership and people-management skills
- A strong interest in digital transformation, automation, AI and emerging operational technologies
