Job Overview

We’re looking for a Vice President, Finance EMEA to join our Corporate team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for all accounting and finance operations for Global Football EMEA, overseeing all transactions related to the general ledger, receivables, payables, cash accounting, payroll, tax compliance, and financial reporting in accordance with local GAAP and US GAAP accounting standards.

You’ll partner closely with divisional leaders and lead country football agents, providing robust financial insight to inform decision-making and support growth and margin expansion. It’s a good fit for someone who thrives in a fast-moving business environment, can manage multiple priorities, and is committed to delivering an excellent service to our agents and clients.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Finance Business Partnering for Global Football EMEA, partnering with heads of divisions on strategic planning from both organic and acquisitive growth perspectives.
  • Partner with Global Football operational teams.
  • Lead the financial planning cycle for the division, including budgets, forecasts, long-term plans, performance reviews, upside and risk tracking, and financial reporting accuracy improvement.
  • Oversee and manage the month-end close process including ensuring account certifications are prepared to the highest standards in line with group policy and submitted in a timely fashion.
  • Build commercial insights across divisions, cost centers, and agent P&Ls, transfer and agency revenue, athlete marketing, and client roster strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Model the impact of contract renewals, new agent hires, client roster changes, and team deal structures so leaders can make better-informed decisions.
  • Establish clear performance management reporting, including KPI packs, monthly business reviews, variance analysis, and follow-up with accountable business owners.
  • Challenge investment requests and deal economics, ensuring commercial ambition is balanced with appropriate financial governance.
  • Quantify financial risk and work with division leads to mitigate identified risks.
  • Oversee revenue and profitability tracking by agent, cost center, and geography, highlighting the drivers behind performance rather than only reporting outcomes.
  • Oversee the partnering with shared service and central finance teams on billing, accrued income, aged debt, cash conversion, and month-end hand-offs, ensuring operational processes support commercial performance.
  • Lead projects to improve processes and efficiencies, collaborating with the wider finance team.
  • Improve reporting, models, and data definitions, reducing manual effort and creating a clearer single source of truth for Football leadership.
  • Resolve non-standard issues and challenges, using strong judgment and leadership skills.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Global Football Finance and Accounting team, ensuring high-quality finance and accounting support for the division, while raising financial literacy across the wider Football team and helping non-finance stakeholders understand the commercial consequences of decision-making.
  • Support the M&A team in due diligence and deal processes, providing knowledge and expertise around the sector and deal economics.
  • Lead and manage the integration of acquisitions and/or new business ventures and quickly establish robust financial controls and reporting that align with the group.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
