Salary: £180k + bonus/equity

Finatal have recently partnered with a growing PE backed SaaS business who are mid-way through their cycle. Currently boasting £220m t/o and 45% EBITDA margin, they need technically strong FP&A step-up to come on board and lead the FP&A, Controllership and Tax/Treasury teams.
This role is an excellent n.2 position gaining experience to become the successor or their final role before becoming a CFO in a separate business. The private equity house is very well known, and this role would be exposure to the fund.
The Responsibilities
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
- Lead board and sponsor reporting, including KPI packages and variance analysis
- Partner with CEO/CFO on scenario planning, pricing, unit economics, and SaaS metrics
- Support M&A evaluation, integration planning, and capital allocation decisions

Oversight Responsibilities
- Ensure timely, accurate monthly close and GAAP-compliant reporting; oversee external audit relationship; own overall control environment integrity (without performing close tasks directly)
- Oversee cash management, banking relationships, debt covenant compliance, and liquidity planning
- Ensure appropriate tax structuring, compliance, and planning via external advisors and internal tax lead
- Manage and develop a team of functional leads (Controller, Treasury Manager, Tax Manager or equivalent), setting priorities and holding them accountable for execution

The Requirements
- 10+ years progressive finance experience, including FP&A leadership in a SaaS/subscription business
- Prior exposure to PE ownership - comfortable with sponsor reporting cadence, covenant compliance, and value-creation planning
- Track record building/scaling finance teams and processes through growth or transaction events
- Strong command of SaaS metrics and board-level communication
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, SAICA, CAANZ or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to lead through others rather than execute personally
