About the Role

The Vice President, Fund Accounting Operations provides senior leadership and oversight of fund accounting operations, ensuring effective workload management, timely NAV delivery, and strong team performance. The role partners with senior leadership to manage risks, strengthen governance and controls, and build capacity across Fund Accounting - EMEA to support process improvements and strategic projects, while developing talent and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Team Oversight & Work Allocation

  • Provide high-level oversight of workload, queues, and productivity issues with the Manager working to resolve those clients at risk of missing reporting deadlines.
  • Proactively communicate unresolved issues to the SVP Head of Fund Accounting Operations.
  • Work with SVP Head of FA Operations to accept an allocation of new funds each month and work with the Manager to allocate fairly across the team.
  • Prepare a weekly report to identify successes, issues, and risks including NAV production metrics.
  • Prepare a weekly root cause analysis report to show issues identified and how they have been addressed.
  • Monitoring team performance.

People Management & Development

  • Conduct daily check-ins and weekly 1:1s with direct reports for coaching and feedback.
  • Review Managers’ monthly appraisals for balanced feedback and fair ratings.
  • Collaborate with Manager and HR on promotions, PIPs and employee development plans.
  • Represent the local team in the hiring and training processes.

Key Qualifications & Competencies

  • 10+ years of experience in a similar fund accounting role.
  • Ability to support with technical fund accounting queries as well as run a BAU delivery team.
  • Exposure to private asset or hedge fund structures.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and manage BAU as well as process improvements and projects.
