Vice President, Fund/Client Accounting I
We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Fund/Client Accounting I to join our Global Institutional Accounting Limited Partnership Accounting and Administration Services (GIA LPAAS). This role is in Manchester, UK.
This role sits within the Limited Partnership Accounting and Administration Servicing (LPAAS) team in Global Institutional Accounting (GIA). The team is responsible for Private Equity reporting for our Asset Owner client base. The successful candidate will lead the EMEA operation, be responsible for daily/monthly client deliverables and contribute to the continued evolution of the operating model.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily/monthly audit cycle for GIA clients who invest in Private Equity investments. This entails the validation of positions, transactions and NAV between the records of BNY and Investment Managers of the Bank’s clients.
- Oversee and ensure the team’s client deliverables are being met, with reporting being accurate, following timely escalation procedures for any delays or errors.
- Oversee and authorise Capital Call payments for the team’s clients.
- Support key workstreams and initiatives to deliver client outcomes, operational consistency, and the continued development of the GIA operating model.
- Act as a point of contact for operational and business change teams on regulatory matters, helping ensure associated requirements are considered and embedded by design.
- Review and strengthen the control framework, participating in audit, risk, and control reviews as required.
- Review and update departmental policies and procedures, supporting accurate, compliant, and consistent work output.
- Contribute to initiatives that standardise and streamline processes, driving efficiency, automation, and service improvement.
- Develop and apply knowledge of client financial products, Bank digital tools, departmental procedures, internal stakeholder processes, and market developments.
- Support team capability through coaching, training, onboarding, knowledge sharing, and guidance on project delivery.
- Contribute to team goals by promoting collaboration, advocating innovative solutions, and supporting effective change delivery.

- Financial industry knowledge is preferred but not essential.
- Private Equity and other Alternatives asset knowledge preferred but not essential.
- Experience managing, supporting, coaching, or training colleagues is essential.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and adapt to changing demands.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across internal teams.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to extract, interpret, and critically evaluate data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with advanced Excel skills and experience using AI, automation, or digital tools to improve processes desirable.
- Continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on automation, transformation, and process efficiency.
