About this role
As a Vice President, you play a critical role in client engagement and transaction delivery, acting as the primary day-to-day client contact and a senior link between execution teams and Directors. You will take ownership of complex workstreams, lead Associates and Analysts, and drive high-quality outcomes across live mandates.
You will apply advanced technical, commercial, and leadership skills across the full M&A lifecycle, playing an increasing role in origination and business development, with substantial client and market exposure.
Key responsibilities and challenges:
- Own and manage day-to-day client relationships, acting as Equiteq's primary point of contact throughout live transactions
- Quarterback transaction workstreams end-to-end, coordinating cross-functional teams and driving deals through each phase of the process
- Apply deep technical and commercial judgement to resolve complex issues and maintain momentum under demanding timeframes
- Manage, mentor and develop Associates and Analysts, taking ownership for team output and individual progression
- Represent the firm credibly in front of client management teams, boards of directors, and third-party advisors
- Play a significant role in origination and pitch efforts, contributing to deal positioning and new business generation
- Work collaboratively across deal teams and the wider firm, demonstrating leadership, professionalism, and a solutions-focused approach

Knowledge & Experience:
- At least six years of investment banking experience
- Deep understanding of the M&A process and commercial considerations, with the ability to translate this into valuable client advice
- Demonstrated project management skills, managing complex workstreams and team dynamics under demanding timeframes
- Technical mastery of relevant financial concepts, modelling, and valuation methodologies
- Strong written and presentational skills, backed by a clear and deliberate thought process
- Proven ability to engage credibly with client management teams, boards of directors, and third-party advisors, with relevant sector experience preferred
