Investment Banking Vice President

Location: London, UK

About the Role

Our client is seeking a high-performing Investment Banking Vice President to join their London team. This is a client-facing, execution-heavy role supporting senior bankers across complex, cross-border transactions. You will work closely with DAX-listed corporates, mid-market companies, and institutional investors across EMEA, driving deal execution and contributing to revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • M&A Execution: Lead end-to-end execution of M&A transactions, including pitch development, financial modelling, valuation work (DCF, LBO, trading and transaction comps), and coordination of due diligence streams.
  • Deal Process Management: Manage full deal lifecycles from origination support and pitch book preparation through negotiations, structuring, and closing.
  • Client Relationship Development: Build and maintain senior-level relationships with German blue-chip corporates, private equity firms, and sovereign entities.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and oversee analysts and associates, ensuring high-quality deliverables under demanding timelines.
  • Market & Sector Analysis: Conduct market research, sector deep-dives, and competitive intelligence to support strategic advisory mandates.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 6-8 years of investment banking experience at an established Investment Bank or M&A boutique.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, and FactSet.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, commercial judgement, and ability to perform under pressure.
  • Industrials focus preferred, though strong generalists with interest in transitioning into the Industrials sector are welcome.
