VP of Marketing

About the company
Customer service is being rebuilt from the ground up with the arrival of the latest AI tech. Our client is building an AI agents platform that handles real customer conversations end-to-end for leading e-commerce brands.
Started in stealth, they're now a fast-growing startup backed by a tier 1 VC, with a growing customer base across Europe and the US, and have already attracted some of the best commercial talent in the market.
The team
You'll be joining a team led by serial entrepreneurs on their second major venture together, following the successful sale of their previous company. As an early team member, you'll operate in a founder-led culture, working directly with the CEO and leadership on the decisions that matter. This is a high-autonomy, high-impact role for someone who wants to skip the corporate red tape and build a global category winner.
Why this role exists
The company is at an inflection point — strong early traction, real customers, and a strong story to tell. What's missing is a single owner to pull marketing together into one engine.
You won't be starting from zero. The product is proven and the customers are real. Your job is to build the marketing function from the ground up — demand generation, content, field, and the operations behind them — and turn it into a repeatable engine that drives pipeline. You'll own it end-to-end, reporting directly to the CEO.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
