We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Non-Financial Risk Controls to join our Payments Enablement Platform team. This role is in Manchester.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Support and facilitate the implementation and execution of NFR responsibilities within the Platform
- Identify, challenge and escalate asks/initiatives that go beyond the scope of 1RC Non-Financial Risk program responsibilities
- Build deep expertise in NFR tooling and related data and analytics
- Monitor and report the status of NFR program deliverables, proactively identifying and solutioning for challenges/blockers.
- Working across the Platform, drive the remediation and reporting of key incidents, issues management, controls assessments, issues as relevant to the Platform
- Identify and Analyze trends and issues, recommend remediation approach and integrate outcomes into reporting.
- Identify inefficiencies, flag emerging risks, and propose practical solutions grounded in data and workflow understanding.
- Collaborate closely with Platforms, Compliance, Risk, and Group teams—contributing expertise and supporting execution.
- Take responsibility for the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of their work, understanding how it supports enterprise supervision and conduct outcomes

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

- Operational risk frameworks (RCSA, EBCA, RCAT)
- Issue management, root-cause analysis, ORE Management, scenario analytics
- Control design, mapping & testing
- KRI/Telemetry interpretation
- Analytical depth & structured problem-solving
- Effective risk communication
- Professional skepticism & credible challenge
- Collaboration across 1LoD/2LoD/3LoD
- Proactive escalation & ownership
- Adaptability to evolving risk landscapes
Success Indicators:
- Accurate, complete, and timely RCSA execution
- Reduction in overdue issues, high-quality remediation plans, and audit-ready documentation
- Reliable KRI and telemetry analysis with actionable insights
- Strong engagement in risk routines and governance forums
- Positive feedback from Platform stakeholders and 2LoD partners
- Visible adoption of discipline guardrails and uplift in NFR execution consistency
