Role Description
The Vice President of Operations is a full-time, senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing day-to-day operational activities across Nexus Media Group’s publishing and events portfolio. Based in Greater London with a hybrid working model, the role combines on-site collaboration with the flexibility to work from home part of the week. This position will drive operational strategy, streamline processes, and ensure efficient delivery of media products and events, while maintaining high standards of customer experience and editorial support. Key responsibilities include managing operational budgets and P&L performance, coordinating cross-functional projects, implementing process improvements, and aligning operations with the company’s growth objectives. The Vice President of Operations will collaborate closely with senior executives, editorial, commercial, and events teams to support sustainable growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in Operations Management, including process optimization and cross-functional coordination.
- Strong experience in P&L Management, budgeting, and financial performance oversight.
- Background in Strategic Planning, with the ability to translate business goals into operational roadmaps.
- Proficiency in Project Management, including planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
- Commitment to high-quality Customer Service, with experience improving customer journeys and internal service standards.
- Proven leadership skills, including team management, coaching, and performance development in a media or events environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, supported by strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in publishing, events, or related sectors is highly beneficial, particularly within health, social care, education, or property markets.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
