About the Role

Every alternative investment firm is now doing something with AI. Very few have reached the point where it carries real work day after day, across diligence, portfolio monitoring, value creation and fundraising. Descrial is the work execution platform built to close that gap. That means designing how the work actually gets done, so people rely on what comes back instead of quietly redoing it themselves.

We are a venture founded and funded by TresVista, whose 400+ clients span the industry, from the largest global asset managers and private equity names to mid-market funds.

We are hiring a VP of Product to own product strategy and its execution, ahead of our V2 launch in early 2027.

What Makes This Different

  • Discovery here is not cold outreach. It is structured access to several hundred firms, alongside our Customer Success team
  • The category is filling with general-purpose AI search and copilots. Ours is different: domain expertise built into the product, not bolted onto it
  • You own strategy, not a backlog: direction, roadmap, packaging, and the cut-lines on what ships
  • You are the senior product voice in the company, and a peer to the VP of Engineering

The Team

You inherit a real product function, not a blank page. Four product managers will report to you, and you work alongside the Design and Customer Success teams.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You Will Own

  • Product strategy: where we compete, what the product will and will not do, and how that becomes a roadmap the business can commit to
  • The roadmap end to end, including V2 scope to the early 2027 target with explicit cut-lines
  • Packaging and pricing with the commercial team, including consumption-based elements where the cost of serving a workflow is variable
  • The product team across both locations. Every product hire after you is made with your judgement in the loop
  • The product operating system: discovery cadence, spec standards, release governance
  • Evaluation-led standards for AI features, and the autonomy question: where an agent acts alone, where it proposes and a person approves
  • Enterprise customers, including client-facing moments where the roadmap is the product being sold

What We Are Looking For

  • A shipped track record in B2B SaaS or enterprise platforms you can walk through in detail: products taken from ambiguity to revenue, with the decisions that made them
  • Four years or more leading product teams, including hiring and developing strong product managers
  • Evidence of owning product strategy, not only delivery
  • Fluency with AI-era product development: LLM features, evaluation-led quality, and the cost and latency trade-offs of production AI
  • Comfort operating with a technical peer as an equal, and holding a view on feasibility and sequencing
  • Financial services experience, ideally asset management or private markets, is an advantage but not a gate. The domain depth is already here, and we would rather hire the sharper product mind and teach the asset class.
