VP of Sales — Institutional Sales (Buy-Side) - Tactical Macro & Positioning Data

£80,000 – £90,000 base (OTE £150k – £170k)
Hybrid, London

We've been retained by a fast-growing, independent research and data firm to find their next VP of Sales in London.

Our client delivers proprietary positioning, flow, and tactical macro insights to leading institutional investors globally - hedge funds, asset managers, and macro funds - helping them identify crowded trades, manage risk in real time, and act on market-moving shifts ahead of the crowd.

The role:

  • Hunter - generate new opportunities within buy-side institutional clients
  • Client acquisition wins within hedge funds, asset managers, and macro investors
  • Represent a highly differentiated data and research product in a competitive space
  • Work closely with a global sales and research team
  • Regular travel to New York, UAE, and Singapore

What our client is looking for:

  • Proven institutional sales experience, selling directly to buy-side clients (hedge funds, asset managers, or macro investors)
  • An existing network of buy-side relationships you can activate quickly
  • A background selling research, data, or insights products - ideally with exposure to tactical macro, positioning, or flow-based analysis
  • A genuine new-business hunter mentality, not just an account manager
